We are extremely excited to announce this new workshop with Chirag Patel and veterinary behaviourist Kevin McPeake.
During the weekend Chirag and Kevin will present on topics exploring behaviour and its management through behaviour analysis principles and a veterinary behaviour approach.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the live cases in a safe environment including a discussion on the indication of psychopharmacology where suitable
This is a great workshop for veterinarians, behaviourists and dog trainers alike.
About your Tutors
Chirag Patel BSc (Hons), CPDT-KA, DipCABT
Animal Behaviour & Training Consultant
Chirag Patel is an animal training and behaviour consultant based in London. He teaches owners, pets and zoo staff and gives seminars/workshops to professionals internationally. He has studied training and behaviour with some of the leading experts around the world including an internship under Dr Ian Dunbar in California and Jean Donaldson at the San Francisco SPCA Dog Trainers Academy.
Chirag has a BSc (Hons) in veterinary Sciences from the Royal Veterinary College in London as well as a post graduate certificate at the University of Lincoln in Clinical Animal Behaviour under Professor Daniel Mills and Helen Zulch (Veterinary behaviourists). He also managed the Training and Behaviour Centre at Dr Roger Mugford’s Company of Animals.
PG Cert (CAB) = Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Animal Behaviour from the University of Lincoln, UK
BSc (Hons) = Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science from the Royal Veterinary College, London
DipCABT = Advanced Diploma in Practical Aspects of Companion Animal Behaviour & Training from the Centre of Applied Pet Ethology
Kevin McPeake BVMS PGDip(CABC) MRCVS
Kevin is a veterinary behaviourist who sees canine and feline behaviour referrals and is currently undertaking a PhD in canine behaviour. Kevin qualified as a vet from the University of Glasgow in 2005 and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling from the University of Southampton University in 2011. Kevin has 10 years experience working as a vet in general practice but has spent the last few focussed on behaviour. He not only has a wealth of practical and behavioural knowledge but is also one of the principal tutors of the Life Skills for Puppies programme at the University of Lincoln.
