We thoroughly enjoy seeing pet parents enjoying their dogs, so not only do we offer training classes, we offer workshops too. In the past, we’ve run First Aid, Trickstars, Canine Calmness, and Doglaw Seminar with Trevor Cooper workshops, all of which have been great fun and a tremendous success.

Canine Calmness Workshop with Carrie-Anne Selwyn
Date: Saturday 19th November 2016
Time: 2pm – 5pm
Location: High Bickington Community Centre

A three hour workshop to develop canine calmness. Improving focus, promoting good health, physcial and emotional health and importantly calmness. Great for all dogs young and old, pet or sport. Calmness is a vital skill for all dogs and owners and this workshop looks at how to achieve this, using the real dog yoga as written by Channel 4’s Jo-rosie Haffenden.

Handler places £40, spectator places £20

Doglaw Seminar With Trevor Cooper
Date: Saturday 29th April 2017
Time: 10am – 1pm
Location: High Bickington Community Centre

This seminar covers a wide ranging mix of legal issues that are vitally important for all dog owners, particularly when there has been so much change to the law in the last year. Presented by the wonderfully entertaining Trevor Cooper. He will certain entertain as well as inform.

WSDA – The Man Hunt With Nando Brown

Date: 21 May 2017 – 22 May 2017
Time: 10am – 5pm
Location: High Bickington Community Centre

World Scent Dog Association – an association that aims to train dogs up ready to compete in the ultimate scent competition.
The Man Hunt is a new sport from WSDA and requires you and your dog to become a crime fighting team, competing at various levels to solve mysteries. At the highest level The Man Hunt competitions are themed send dogs are trained to participate in three areas of nose work, under pressure and with themed distractions.

This introduction course runs for two days and is an entry level course for anyone who hopes to train their dog up to participate in The Man Hunt. The course teaches participants both passive and active search indications as well as scent discrimination. This culminates in a treasure hunt where dog and owner teams have to use their new found skills to find clues and win prizes!
This is also the first step to becoming an official instructor in the sport.
